Hi everyone,

My situation :

1.My Post Graduate Work Permit expires in April 2016.
2.I hold a Master's degree from McGill univ. in Computer Science. It dates back to October 2013.
3.I started working as a Software Developer (full time , pay is more than average of the market) on Dec 15th 2014.
4.I applied for my wife's visa (Spousal Open Work Permit) 2 months ago and we are still waiting for their response. (She is not in Canada)
5.My company is not willing to get LMIA/LMO because it's a tough process. They are not a small company, they have business registration of BC and they have 50 employees here in Vancouver. The HQ of their Canadian branch is in Toronto and their main HQ is in New Jersey US.
6.I want to apply for the PR and I want to extend my Work Permit and I want to put my wife's name in the application and I don't want her visa application be to be affected.

I'm confused with all these new rules of Express vs Regular , PNP vs. Federal and if I need employer's sponsorship etc.

I want to hire a RELIABLE lawyer to help me with my PR application process. I want someone with experience.

I would really appreciate it if you could introduce me a reliable lawyer.

Thanks

Let me tell you something. Lawyer cannot do much unless the law/rule favors you. If the company doesn't support you for LMIA, then lawyer cannot help you.

Your best bet is to try getting PNP from your province and apply for PR that way.
Did you ask your employer if can support you for PNP? (Most of them will support you, evenif they are corporate companies)
Try to find our the information from the BC gov website about their pnp programs how that works, you can even call them and ask.
Don't waste your money on lawyers. Most of the guys in this forum have done these process by themselves.

Trust me its not that difficult to fill in forms and apply. You can always ask questions in this forum and I am pretty sure there are lots of people who would help you.

Its just me. I am sorry if I said something wrong here

But there's a problem here , I need LMIA for express entry , and the regular/old/non-express pnp system takes a very LONG time (right now it's 10-13 months) , and I cannot extend my work permit before receiving the PNP nomination and sending it to the federal and receiving a file number. It's that file number which helps me to extend my work permit.

This is what I think , is it wrong ?

I dont know how it works in BC. but i was able to extend my work permit with just the PNP nomination certificate. (Alberta Nominee).

So for me was 10 months of waiting for pnp and then applied for BOWP with the nomination, meanwhile I applied for PR and waiting for the AOR
