Hi All,
My 1 year post grad work permit is expiring on October 29 2014 itself. I applied for PR on August 10 2014 by regular mail in 2 FSW categories- 0112 & 2173 & hoping to get CC charged/a PER only by ~November 10th at the earliest (based on current average time taken by CIC to revert). Pls correct me if I am wrong.
I have my girlfriend/unofficial fiancee from India here in Toronto who's also working like me currently (not established common law though & her post grad work permit expires only in June 2015). So I need to apply for some permit/visa for me to continue to stay & work here. I'm planning to apply for Bridge Open Work Permit with an explanation letter (as I don't have PER yet) by next week, i.e. last day of Sept. Is it too early to apply/ too late? Any suggestions will help me.
Also, do I apply for a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP)/ Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) as well, simultaneously - just to be on the safe side in case my BOWP application gets rejected? I read somewhere that applying for TRP can further complicate/delay PR appln. Waiting for necessary advice ASAP. I've no lawyer!
