Post-Grad Work Permit application -- proof of "formal notification?"

Hello!

I am applying for a PGWP for the first time after attending a 9-month program at a Canadian university, and am unsure which documents to upload to fulfill the "formal notification" of my Canadian education requirement.

I had thought the best document to include would be my diploma, the most "formal notification" I have received. However, no where on my diploma does it state the duration of the program. Further, this program I attended in Canada was not my highest level of education, and so because the "Education" field on the PGWP app requests information regarding the "Highest Level of Post-Secondary Education Received," there is no place throughout my PGWP app that states the duration of my Canadian educational program.

As I understand it, I should be issued a 9-month PGWP. But how will the CIC know the duration of my program? Will they contact my university in order to ask that information? Or -- rather than uploading a copy of my diploma, would it be more appropriate to upload a copy of my transcripts?

Then again... is this a loop-hole that might allow me to request a longer duration of PGWP..?

Thank you for your time!
