Post doc in Canada after PhD in Germany?

Hi,

I am completing a PhD in Global Studies in Germany, and would like to go to Canada for a post doc.
Is a German PhD respected enough for a post doc in Canada, and would the TA experience that I could get in one year be enough for a application under the CEC?
I am not sure if I could get a Tenure track position in a Canadian university after a PhD in Germany, or is this possible

it ws good to see such qualified person...the major issue for applying for PhDs and postdocs in Canada is that u hav to arrange for supervisor before applying...and thats a difficult task/b] I also wanted to go for phd bt ws unable to go as cud nt arrange for supervisors..they dont even reply to ur emails..
Rest there is no problem..german degrees are recognised everywhere in the world....
