Hi all,

I helped my family (mother, father, sister) plus auntie apply for visitor visa to visit me here in Canada. My family submitted one application and my auntie submitted a separate one.

My family got their approval within 1 week! but my auntie has not received anything yet and it will be near 12 days now so I'm assuming her application will be rejected.

I'm wondering if I should have included my auntie in my family's application..would it have made a difference???

If my auntie gets rejected, what else can we do?

My auntie is single, around 50 yrs. old she has her own business, we submitted her bank statements, investments, properties, She does not travel much, her last international travel was 2014.

If we want to apply again..what new document can we submit so that her application will be approved?

12 days does not seem a long time have you checked the posted average processing time ? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

Hi,

IMO, you are panicking and thinking the worst :)

I'm wondering if I should have included my auntie in my family's application..would it have made a difference???
You could not have included her application with your family's apps. The best you could have done was to request the VAC to bag all apps together (if you applied by paper).

If my auntie gets rejected, what else can we do?
And if your aunt gets approved?

My auntie is single, around 50 yrs. old she has her own business, we submitted her bank statements, investments, properties, She does not travel much, her last international travel was 2014.
Unless you have not presented her ties properly, she seems to have a good application.... and most likely will be approved

Cheers

Finally got approval of the visa for my aunt after 4 weeks!! ;D

I was really worried because the turn-around time should be just 11 days, but anyway all good now!

I did say that your aunt would most likely get a TRV.

Processing times are only estimates. Not point in worrying. Anyway. Congrats :)
