Possible to request for change Visa Office in Canada ??

Hi guys,

Could you let me know if I could request to change the visa office that will process my PR application?

I have graduated as an international student and currently working with a post graduation working permit.
I have been nominated by the Alberta government and sent my application to CIO. The problem here is I have put Visa Office in Singapore to process my application, just recently I found out that I could have put Visa Office in Ottawa to process my application instead.

( 20 months for processing in Singapore compare to 11 months for processing in Ottawa)

Is there any chance that I can request CIO to transfer my application to Visa Office in Ottawa for processing?

You can certainly ask (i.e. there's no harm in asking).

Unfortunately CIC typically refuses transfer requests.

Thanks for quick response. Could I send an e-mail directly to CIO and ask them about that? Or I have to go through CIC?
