Kind of confused, looking for help here.

I am a mid 40s Canadian citizen, my girlfriend is also mid 40s and she is Portuguese, known each other for many years and met/going back and forth for over 2 years now.
Want to start the process of her moving to Canada. Her age doesn't rate highly on the entry calculators of course, her job does get listed as skilled when doing the test on here (the job classifier says Skilled NOC: 0621) but as far as we can see not it is not listed on skilled workers or those in need on canada.ca. She has post secondary credentials and language rates pretty highly, fluent in English and functional French, but the rest like living together, being common law, Canadian experience doesn't. We are wondering if the path has to be other than skilled or express.
Not sure if common law or conjugal are the only other options. If these paths are the best or only options how can one be together to satisfy things like common law requirements if she can't stay here longer than a 6 months allowed for a Portuguese national? One of the more confusing aspects is that if we start the process how can she stay here longer than 6 months? Does she need to apply for some temporary extension after applying? And then is she not allowed to go back during the process to check on her parents for example, is she 'stuck' in Canada without a job during the processing time that could be a year or more?
Also, the entry to Canada before applying must be a with a roundtrip ticket that the return gets unused? I ask this last question because in the times she has come for a one or two week visit she has been asked 'when are you returning' more than once so coming with a one way ticket is not the best idea if airport customs are already questioning a two tourist type visit, it seems.

Of course there are other practicalities to tackle like volunteering here, health insurance but any guidance is appreciated, thanks.

Soon after she arrives or within 6 months we get married and apply that way? Any thoughts on she having to stay during the processing time and the possibility of going back for a week or two week period to check on her parents?
Thanks for the reply.

If you get married and she applies as an outland applicant she could travel back and forth provided cbsa lets her in.

Search this forum for an explanation of what inland and outland entails.

Good day, I am from the Philippines and I am planning to the student pathway. However, I only finished 10 years of secondary level and the 1st semester of my 1st year in college. I am also a dropped out student. I am already 24 years old and hoping to be accepted in one of their programs. I already took my IELTS Exam with an OBS of 6.5 with L-7, R-6.5, W-6.5, S-6.5 and I am wondering if I can pass the mature international student or is there a chance i can be accepted in one of the colleges in Canada?

Thanks again, I read inland and outland description pages here and some threads like https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...asked-question-from-inland-applicants.266896/ The main motivation for outland would be the possibility of being able to spend time in Portugal but with very low (nothing guaranteed) risk of having trouble coming to Canada as a regular visitor while it is processing? I guess one option is to apply outland from inside Canada after getting married here.

Your wife would be required to leave Canada to do biometrics and any interview, and would face the same risk of returning to Canada as a visitor.

Unfortunately you don't get to apply for PR and have perfectly unhindered freedom to come and go in either option.

Outland she would be able to work while she is in Portugal but would not be able to work in Canada
