Hi,

Newbie here, decided to create an account because I needed to find out the options I could possibly have in my situation.
I will be eligible to create a profile for the express entry pool on Oct 2018 as I would have completed my current 1 yr of minimum skilled job experience by then.

However, my PGWP expires by Nov 2018 which means I would have to discontinue work when that time comes. I plan on creating my express entry profile around the 3rd week of October. I'm new to this "valid status" procedures so I just wanted to find out my options/ what i need to apply for beforehand if I want to:

a) Keep working while waiting for an "Invitation to apply"?
b) Discontinue working but still remain in Canada legally during the waiting process?

Bear in mind that during my eligibility month (Oct) and my expiry month (Nov), I wouldn't have received an ITA yet, hence no available implied status.

Thanks.

1. Receiving an ITA doesn't give you the implied status. You become on implied status when you submit your PR and OWP applications after you receive an ITA.
2. You can't work (or stay) in Canada beyond the expiry of your current PGWP unless you become on implied status as mentioned in the previous point.
3. So, unless you receive an ITA and submit your PR and OWP application before the expiry of the PGWP, you will have to leave Canada. As an alternative, you may apply to change your status as a visitor but you will not be able to work and will not be eligible for the OWP.
To summarize, you will need to get an ITA and submit your PR and OWP application before Nov. 2018 to be on implied status.
Good Luck!
