I have an old classmate of mine who sold his home in Germany where his deceased parents left for him and his siblings in June 2009.He has a brother and a sister and both of them got married and moved out of the property long ago.Immediately after in the following month he rushed to Canada and intended and remain in Canada permenantly. The biggest problem here is he is only coming to Canada as a visitor and he has not gone though the proper channel in order for him to remain in Canada permenantly. He is well aware of that but his mental instability trigger him to take the "fast" route.

He has been to Canada a few times before but always leave for his home in Germany after a month or so but in July 2009,he took a very drastic action which I strongly discourage him from doing that but he never listens to me.

I have in my possession the email correspondence between us which shows very clearly his intention written in a kind of ad hog broken manner.I can forward such correspondence to you for further action if you can provide me with your contact email.I have brought that particular correspondence to Canada Immigration at Hornby Street Office in Vancouver on November 10,2009, one day after he wrote to me.Up until now 15 months later he is still in Canada.

Unfortunately at this moment I do not know his exact whereabout. For sure he is in Nananimo BC.This is the place he always remain although he may change places from time to time.

He has some money to get by but I believe his cash starts draining out now.

He has mental illness which he always deny.He never rely on any social assistance not he trust any medical doctor.

What are you saying?

You want to report the friend to canadian immigration again?
You want to know what immigration did?

What do you want to happen?

"Do I support illegal immigration?"

I intend to become a Canadian citizen and set up a business in Canada; I am married to a Canadian, and believe in the Canadian way of life - obviously I do not support illegal immigration, or illegal anything for that matter.

I was merely asking what you wanted to happen, as your intentions are unclear to me.

When you say you "can forward such correspondence to you", who are you referring to, I assume that you are aware that this site is not a government agency.

You have already reported the case to immigration, do you believe that immigration services are not doing their job?

As you no longer appear to be in contact with this person, how do you know he is still in Canada.
Even if he is, he may have applied through official channels and have legitimate status.

My approach would be, report illegal immigration to the correct authority, provide as much information as possible and then move on with my own life.
If the authorities need more information I am sure they will ask for it.

I'm not a big fan of 'illegal immigration' but the term is a bit blurry for me, my wife having overstayed her TRV, and being in the middle of permanent residence application. Also I've heard of people coming to Canada, working and contributing to society, paying taxes, only to be deported in some cases 20, 30 years later due to a technicality. Seems to me if there is an man living in Nanaimo, with no legal status but paying his own way, it's none of my business or yours, or anyone on this site. This is not a site to rat people out, call the CBSA but I expect they are busy with many more important things to do than deport your old classmate.
