Hello Experts,

I got to know that finally my permanent residence was approved and documents are sent back to me, so now I have to be in Canada before the end of March,

At this moment I am having my Master's degree in Computer Science in Germany and was looking if it is possible to not to lose it, because I have done a lot studies until now.

Is it possible to go to Canada as requested by deadline and then come back and continue my studies until finish, after all having my master's done in Germany will have more contribution to me and why not to Canada as well.

Thanks,
Grigor

Yes this is definitely possible. You just need to plan few things.

You can do a quick landing and come back in 1 week time, but your PR card will only be sent to your address inside Canada; they will not dispatch your PR cad to you in Germany. For this purpose you need to give an address of a relative or friend who you can trust for with your PR card.

As when you will be entering Canada for the second time after completing your degree you need to have your PR else immigration will not let you enter.

Thanks for your reply,

I was myself thinking it must be possible, at least for some circumstances when the end result will have a contribution.

I did read in some resources that a permanent resident must live in Canada for at least 6 months in a year.

Do you have information about it?

Regards,
Grigor

There is no six month rule. To keep your PR status you must live in Canada for 2 out of every 5 rolling years.
