Possibility of getting work permit under PNP nomination

Hey guys, is it true that applicants don't get work permit if applied at the same time for PR under PNP? I heard visa offices are OK with approving PR but they mostly reject work permit applications? What are the chances that I will get a WP? For clarification, PNP nomination with a job offer comes with two nomination certificates - PR and WP.

Any helpful information will be very much appreciated.

Its not 100% clear what you are asking, but my experience with PNP nominations/PR/Work Permits has been fine.

I have BCPNP nomination, I've submitted for PR and was able to successfully get a work permit at the border last weekend using the work permit support letter from the province.

Thank you for the reply. And sorry that the question wasn't clear. What I meant is a PNP nomination comes with two letters one supporting PR and another for WP. I heard that when the if I use the WP nomination letter for visa, it is more likely CIC will reject the application. On the other hand they are OK with approving PR but that takes much longer to process than WP. And it is often the case if Singapore is handling the file.

Question is is this true?

The PNP nomination is to support your PR application - they issue a work permit support letter so that you can work or continue working while the PR application is being processed.

I can only comment on my own experience and there was no hesitation in issuing my work permit based on the PNP work permit support letter.
