Hi Guyz,
I have got a positive LMO for my new employer and applied for WP. My old WP with previous employer is still valid and I have valid TRV, Can I legally stay in Canada if I leave my job with old employer? As such I wont be working with new employer till I get the new WP.
Is it allowed or does it require any status change?
Please give your inputs.

Thanks.....

I believe so long as the WP you currently have with your current/previous employer is still valid, you can leave the job whenever you like. It states this in temporary foreign workers rights pamphlets and such. Essentially, once you get into Canada on a Temporary Work Permit, you can quit the next day if you want and stick around Canada until the Visa expires (why Idk :p....maybe if one got a really bad employer and he/she just hated the job or something). But I'm just saying, as it is the Work Permit validity that is important, not whether or not you are actually working at the job or not. Now, of course, the time between you would quit your job from your previous employer and wait for the new WP to go through you would be unable to work, as well as get any money. But you should be fine in staying in Canada, so long as your WP is still valid, and you had enough saved up during such time.
