Hi, I got my RCMP police certificate back. While it indicates no criminal record but there is a statement "This also certifies that a search by the RCMP using the same fingerprints has resulted in a POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION to immigration fingerprints registered under the file number(s) indicated below."

I have applied for study permit and work permit before.

-Does the above statement mean my fingerprint is already in the database of IRCC due to previous immigration history?
-Does this statement have anything to do with criminal record?
-I think this statement serves like an identity confirmation, that the fingerprint submitted for criminal record really belongs to the person that IRCC is dealing with. Agree?

How long did it take you to get the check from RCMP?
