Portal 1 letter, should I include outland applicant's information?

Replied to Portal 1 letter. I included information about myself as I am inland but also about my spouse but she is outland and never been to Canada yet. I just answered to some questions as Not applicable, currently inside Canada -No.

1) Is it even required to include information about outland applicants?
2) will there be delays bcz of misunderstanding if it wasn't required?
