You dont require a return ticket when you are accompanying a spouse with a workpermit.

Hi, i work in the airline industry. If i may give you my opinion, first of all pricewise it may be cheaper to buy a roundtrip ticket instead of a one way. You should do the comparison. Also, who knows? Maybe you will want to use this outbound ticket one day to visit your country of origin or other. A ticket is good for one year from the original date of issue. Just make sure you are allowed to make changes on it (usually there is a minimal change fee to this). That return ticket may back u up after all just in case customs prefer to see one on you. Never know. Better be safe than sorry. :D

Thanks, Ouihel01 .... (1)-That's why i was just wondering if "Inbound ticket" is good, because if i was offered an OWP in Port of Entry to work in canada, wouldnt it be a waste of money to get roundtrip ticket because i wouldnt know how long would my OWP be to work in canada? I know my visitor status as a USA is 6months, i had a roundticket before when i visited last year..... (2)- ok if i did get a roundtrip ticket to canada, started working let say for more then a year, can i refund the "outbound ticket" and how much percent will i get back? Thanks!

I dont know too much about immigration rules , whether a one way ticket is accepted or not for your purpose, i dont know . But what i do know i told you already . An airline ticket is refundable only if you buy it at a higher fare like Y class for example. Thats a lot more expansive though. The percentage will be calculated according to what was used.
Cheap airfares are usually not refundable and non exchangeable either. Be careful and shop around.
