Hi Everyone,

My university is located in Vancouver and my classes start on August 26th. I will be travelling to Canada on the 8th and I am going to be arriving in Toronto and I will stay with my brother for about 2 weeks before going to Vancouver on the 23rd of August. My question is, once Im at the port of entry, is it ok if I don't have a ticket for Vancouver from Toronto to show the Port Officer or will I be denied entry if I don't have a ticket showing that I will be going to Vancouver on the 23rd of August?

Thanks.

Hi

From my experience no POE officer will ask for your flight ticket. all you will be asked to show is proof of admission to college/university.
so no issues i suppose for you.

Cheers

From what I've heard it won't be a problem arriving early. Im landing in Toronto on the 15th but only flying to my uni's city on the 1st. But do keep us updated on how it goes!

I think you will not have any issues if you already have a letter of acceptance to show. It's just a couple of weeks, should not be a huge problem. They should understand it takes some time to get adjusted to a new place and everything.
