Hello All,

I have a question regarding Proof of funds letters from financial institutions.

I am with chase and I do not have any chase bank ( physical location) in my state. I have to travel 4 to 5 hours to get to the nearest one. Do I need to get a letter from them saying that my current balance and my average six-month balance or just the statements which I can get from my online account?

Thanks in advance

First, you need to make sure your bank statements meet the requirements defined here:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

And the second issue is that the statements are likely password protected and you cannot digitally combine them into one file. If you rescan them, without compromising the quality of the content, it is very likely that the scanned statements will exceed the allowable file size that the CIC accepts.

It sounds to me that a 4-5hr travel is not the end of the world. I'd suggest you go there and get a clear formatted, signed letter with all the information printed on one page. I know there are some banks whom you can call and they can send the letter to you too.
