I am trying to renew the Indian Passport for my MIL and the police will be going to her Indian Address for verification.
The house has been closed for 3 years and no one lives there
What will they verify if the police went there

They will likely verify that she is still owns the home and the home is ready for her to live in (furnished) when she return she from visiting Canada.
