I have gotten to the point in the application process where I need to provide a Police report. When I click through the various links, it takes me to the FBI site where I can fill-in a form and submit my fingerprints to get the police report. It says this will take 14 to 16 weeks to receive! Can I use an FBI Channeller instead? I've called a few and they say they can get the report in a few days because it's electronic, but it's unclear on the CIC site if Canada will accept the report through and FBI Channeller vs. getting the report directly from the FBI. Does anyone know?

I am a US Citizen and am married to a Canadian citizen. We currently live in the USA. We would like to move to Canada, so are in the process of filling in the paperwork for her to sponsor me under the family class as spouses so I can become a permanent resident of Canada.

Nope - you can't use the channeller instead. This report isn't accepted by CIC. You have to obtain the report directly from the FBI.

If you don't want to wait for the FBI report, you can send your application in without the report. Include a letter stating that you have requested the FBI report and will forward it once it arrives.
