Police Clearance PCC of India from USA

I got my second indian passport created from washington dc. I am still residing in DC, is it better to apply for Indian PCC from Washington DC or its still better to get it from local contacts in India where atleast I wont have to submit my passport. Will creation of passport help me quicken my pcc process?

Someone please guide

We got our PCC from the Indian Consulate DC in around 3 weeks. Since you are in DC, this will the best option. Hope this helps.

chithbhai: When did you send your PCC application to DC consulate? Was it recently? Just trying to get the time frame for PCC clearance as I sent mine yesterday(June 23rd 2010).
