Good day!

I just receive the approval letter that i can process my permanent resident visa. I am a Nominee under employers direct in Manitoba. I arrived last November 2008. Just been here for almost 8 months. One of the requirment is the police clearance. Do i still need to give them police clearance from the country i lived for the past 5 years? I have forwarded original copy of my police clearance to MPNP & CIC Dubai (where i applied for my temporary working permit) before i was approve to work & land in here in Canada. Would they could just inquire or get a certified true copy to MPNP or CIC Dubai, instead of me applying/requesting a new copy of police clearance from the countries i lived for past 5 years?

If i would rationalize about this matter is that the reason they are requiring it, is because they want to know that if you enter their country (Canada) you are not a threat or that you don't have any criminal record before entering to Canada. I just recently forwarded this document basically less that a year ago. So i felt that it is not necessary for me to request a new copy of this document but of course this is of my opinion but i don't know of what is their policy on this matter.

Hopw someone could enlighten me on this matter. Thank you!

I suppose you still need to give them the PCC since it is for immigration now and moreover PCC's are valid only for 3 months.
