hi,

hope somebody can help. my husband was asked to submit a police certificate for japan in 30 days (he worked there for 3 years) but now he has moved to hongkong. he asked the japan consulate in hongkong to apply for it but he was told it would take 45 days! hope somebody can advise us what to do...

also he was also asked to submit his passport in 30 days. but we are planning to go back to manila in january for our church wedding and that would already be after 30 days as well....

is that a sign that his visa will come soon if he is asked his passport?
thanks

Here is the link from CIC about how to apply and the forms to download for police certificate. They may have an option for getting faster service if you pay? I know the UK does, but NZ you have to wait 20 days no matter what I guess because it is free. Depends on the office

Yes usually when they ask for the passport that means visa, but unsure how long they keep the passport for. Some a few weeks some longer. Maybe someone else will have an idae?

Good luck! :)
