Police clearance delay

Please help me guys,

i was given till August 31 to send police clearance to VO however there is high probability I couldn't make the deadline to due long process and mailing transit. Is it necessary to advise VO ahead of time that my police clearance would be a bit delay?

inform your problem to police officer so that they may acclerate your application.

i did my best effort to expedite the process, one more thing the mailing would take another a month. It would probably delayed, my question do i need to advise VO in advance? or just let it go and send the clearance the soonest even late?

Must ask for extension,explaining the delay and if you have any communication with police dept as a proof
