i am a bit confused. I landed in canada on april 18 ,2018 for a soft landing for 3 days[ officially PR]. Went back to UK and came back to canada for an interview for a day around nov 22, 2018 and then permanently came to canada on 2nd jan 2019. Now while applying for citizenship, it says i need a PCC if i stayed for 183 days in a row outside canada (uk) in the last 4 yrs. Counting from today 4 yrs. back is aug 15, 2018. I was in uk from april 2018 until dec 2018 which is more than 183 days but it was broken by my one day in canada in nov, 2018. and if we just count from aug 15, 2018 - i was NOT outside canada for 183 days. It was aug 15, 2018 - nov 22 , 2018 in uk [ 100 days ] . then 1 day in canada. and again nov, 23 2018- jan 2, 2019 back in uk. [ 42 days ]. Even if we count exactly from aug 15, 2018 until 2nd jan 2019 [ 142 days ]. so i was wondering would i need a PCC. i know there are too many dates in my post. sorry about that.

so my main questions: when they say 4 yrs. is it exactly 4 yrs. from today ? i.e. aug 15, 2018 ?
or will they see that i was outside canada even before that as well since i was a PR from april 2018.
