Hello All,

I’m seeking advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.
I am an Indian citizen but have lived in the UAE for most of my life. As per the Canada immigration guidelines, they state:
"If you and your family members are 18 years of age and older and aren’t permanent residents or Canadian citizens, you must provide a valid police certificate for any country other than Canada in which you spent 6 or more months in a row since the age of 18." (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-p7000-application-permanent-residence-provincial-nominee-class.html)

My question is: In the past 10–15 years, I have never stayed in India (or any other country) for 6 months or more in a row (only gone for 1-2 months per year), as I’ve primarily resided in the UAE. Given this, would I only need to provide a police clearance from the UAE, and not India?

The reason why I cant simply collect the clearance from both countries, is cause there is no one I can contact back in India. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
