TLDR; NOC required from PSU bank for getting PCC; do not want to disclose Canada plans to employer
I am currently working in a public sector bank in India. I am the secondary applicant in our Express Entry application. When I went to PSK for obtaining PCC, I was told that I need to get an NOC from my employer since I am a goverment employee and applying for Canadian PR.
At such an early stage of my application, I do not want to disclose to my employer that I am trying for Canada.
Also as far as I know there is no provision for getting an NOC for PCC. NOC is only issued for passport issue or renewal by my employer.
Please advise is it really necessary to get an NOC? The official at the PSK was firm on this. If any other PSU employee has gone through this how did you manage? Is there a way around?
