I am planning to move to Canada for work soon. After 1 year I will eligible for PR through express entry. I know we can apply for Indian police clearance certificate from Canada itself, but I am concerned about what happens in India when I apply for it. Do they ask for an Indian address for address verification? Do I need to have some family member living in the Indian address and vouch for me?
The thing is, when I leave India for work in Canada (without PR) I plan to give up my rented home. I don't have much of close family and certainly don't have any family member's address on aadhar or voter card or like that. So if the police do a physical address verification in India I don't know what will happen.
Am I allowed to go back India for a week and just get the PCC? I can keep my Indian address active for one year and if the police comes I can answer them myself. But if I don't know if there are rules that you have to apply for PCC from foreign country only.
