Police Clearance and Proof Of Funds

Hi Everyone,

I received ITA yesterday and have a few questions about the Police Clearance Certificate and proof of funds. How can i obtain the police clearance from india? Can i ask someone back home to get it on my behalf instead of me waiting here for 4-6 weeks as per BLS. Also there was no option for me to put less than 12k as the proof of funds while creating the EE profile. I got it under CEC and as per CIC, we do not need to show the funds if we are applying under CEC. Can i update my EE profile now ? Can i change the amount to something that i can show ?

i can't speak for the Police clearance certificate as I'm not from india but I'm assuming if you can get what's needed faster then go for it. As for the proof of funds, if you received it under CEC then I don't believe you need to provide proof of funds per se but they will request documentation from the bank showing your account information and balance over the last 6 months. I wouldn't worry about having any "minimum amount" in your account. I just provided the information showing what I had an left it at that.

You need to be well connected to get Pcc from india while you are living in canada. I believe you it would be legit.
But technically you have to get it from bls. Request to process it faster.
They might do it in 2 weeks.
I did it for my wife.

Thanks Adi, So confused as to go with BLS or get it from there because i am not sure if BLS processing times would change on a request to get it done soon..

I got it from india . Much less hassle . Got it in 2 weeks. Parents speed post it to me . Bls want u to submit your passport and idk I fear they can loose your passport very easily . I wouldn't trust them and give my passport at the time when my pr is lined up . Rest up to u .
