Hello to one and all,

I am stuck on whether to get a police check for other countries then my native country of Ireland.

I have never lived in one place longer than 6 months but if you totalled up my time spent in other countries there are many I have spent longer than 6 months.

Are the visa office only concerned with 6 months and over continuously or cumitavely?

If it is cumitavely I have alot more work to do,

Thanks for aall your help.

Here you go:

"You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18."

You can find this here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

So in answer to your question it appears as though they are only concerned with 6 months continuously

Yes. AlieW said exactly, you don't need to obtain PCC if any one stay any where abraod is not exceeding 6 months continuously.
