Police Check Delayed by Iran - What to do?

My police check has been delayed because the Iranian government screwed up the finger print. I'd like to know how to notify the CIC and get an extension.

It was supposed to be submitted July 28, but that wasn't enough time to get it done. I started the police check process July 15 but they said it would take 3 weeks.

On July 25 I submitted (via webform) my Schedule A and a letter explaining the police report would take us past the July 28th deadline.

We haven't heard back from the CIC.

Today the Iranian police told us we have to resubmit the police check because the finger print didn't scan properly.

I am not sure what to do, or how to notify the CIC. They never responded back to my web form email the first time.

I'm wondering how I can get an extension on the police check as well. It will take us a long time to go back to Tehran to get this done. We are not close.

P.S. I was finally able to link my application to my GIC account with the help of this site today.

Whatever you send via CSE (case specific enquiry) webform takes on average 45-60 days to get attached to your file. So it's normal that you did not get any reply yet.
Not submitting your police clearance will unfortunately delay the approval of your application. I'm not fully sure of the procedure, but I know there is a way to go to local police in Canada and get your finger prints on a CIC form (you have to pay some fees). With that, you can apply for your police clearance from the Iranian interest section of the Pakistan embassy in Washington. Please check their website: http://daftar.org
Look for form 460 in the vital record section. I'm sorry, after that point, everything is written in Farsi, so I cannot read it. You can contact the office in Washington to know exactly what do they need to process your police clearance.
