police certificates

I paid my fees for spousal sponsorship and right of permanent resudencd and will be sending my application package soon. Question is...do I need to include police certificates right now or is it ok to send it later? I am a US citizen and I've been in Canada since last June. Do I need US and canadian police certificates?

Police certificates are sent when you submit an application. If you dont, make sure you attach a letter of explanation of why.

Most surely US one (if you stayed there for 6 months consecutively after you turned 18). Not the Canadian one unless explicitly asked by IRCC.
