Hi there...I'm still awaiting my Permanent Residency under the Spousal sponsorship program, as you know as part of the application process you have to provide Police Certificates of where you've resided before...in one instance this was Dubai for me, but I've just been informed by the UAE Embassy, they have my police certificate ready to send to me but Dubai Police in error put my place of Birth as UK, but it should be Germany! Since this process has taken 3 months to get the Police a Certificate, the UAE Embassy suggested they tip-ex out the country and correct it and put an Embassy stamp on it. Any idea whether this would be acceptable to the Canadian authorities? As I'm reluctant to start the process again. I've tried all day to get through to CIC to ask the question, but can't get through...grrrrr :(

if embassy is stamping it after correction no problem, get it rectified.I will be acceptable.Write on a covering note to embassy and explain that that there was an error which was rectified.
