Hi all,

In my understanding, different countries use different formats for the police certificates they deliver and not all mention the period of stay?

For instance, Singapore does, but my police certificates for Japan and France don't.

Since IRCC is quite strict on this point, I prefer to ask for confirmation.

Thank you
matt

Hi,

US (FBI) PCC's don't have any "period" of stay included. I'm an Indian and the Indian PCC doesn't have any such information either.
What they both have is the date on which the PCC was issued (or a search was completed by the FBI/Indian MEA). So basically, it means as of this <date> there are no criminal records.

Yes. Like in China, they only mention periods when the applicant had a student visa, or a work permit. In some countries, only the date of exit is mentioned with a statement like "Applicant has no criminal history until XX date"
