Hello guys,
I need your help to clarify the following. One friend of mine who already applied under CEC told me that we are required to submit police clearance certificates only for the last 5 years, not for entire period since we were 18 y.o. I 've tried to look for this information on CIC site, but could not find any mentioning of this rule. Has anyone ever come across with such a requirement? Does it exist in real?

The official instructions on the CIC site say that you must submit certificates for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

I would personally believe the official site over whatever your friend has told you.

Thank you for the reply. This is what I also read. I've just wanted to double-check this if I was missing something.
