I got asked to provide police certificates.
In the document they ask to "provide this for every family member, whether accompanying you to canada or not".

Unfortunately I could not find the answer to the following question in the guide:
Does this mean I need police certificates for my parents and brother/sister in germany?

No. Family members means the sponsor's spouse or common-law or conjugal partner, and any dependent children, for the purposes of the forms.
