Well what a bad day!
I'm just finishing off checking all my forms etc ready to send off my application to CIC when I hit the proverbial wall.
I live in Canada and am sponsoring my wife For PR to Canada. She is presently in her home country of Brazil. We require as stated in the country specific checklist to submit police certificates and clearances for any country in which she lived for more then 6 continuous months. She resided in Florida for 11 months before returning to her home country Brazil where we were recently married. Well we obtained Federal clearances but just for the state of Florida - not good!
Is anyone familiar with the process? Apparently there is a 13-15 week wait for such documents. Can she obtain the fingerprint cards in São Paulo Brazil?
Can we possibly submit the application without the police FBI clearances and submit them later when we obtain them in 4 months?
