POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES

Hi,

My self & my wife lived in India all the life before we relocated to America in 2006, do I have to get POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES from India & USA or only USA will do ?

If I have get POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES from India, can any help me with the process ?

if you living out of india then ...Police clearances certifi...from Local SSP office (police station) is that accpeted by Cadian visa office out the india or it has to be apply through ouerseas indian embassy..?

Go to/Scroll down to Passports and then click on Miscellaneous Services and download the form.

You will need police clearance certificates from USA and India. Download an application for Indian PCC from the consulate under your jurisdiction and send it along with your indian passport. They will send you a PCC in six weeks.

I Download the form just now as i know just from you...because i heard from somebody that we can use Police certificate from local SSP office in your country..i think i have be speed up ...becuase they take 6 week to issue ...and i have plan to send my full application in before end of jan 2010..

Hello BobbyB and other members.

I got the PCC from indian embassy from Netherland within a day...i was surprised...but they give me PCC from the date when i have renew my passport. i ask them and they told we can provide you only this pcc. if you want your PCC from india then you have wait for 3 months or more they are not sure about any time. i really don;t know what to do. can i apply PCC in local distt police in india SSP office if i will get that PCC from india..then i can attached with my file and i will also attached pcc from embassy. is that ok ?
Is that possible i can apply PCC in passport office in india while living here. where my previous passport was issue...or PCC from head of police will be OK..

Please advice ..........
