Hi guys, I have a question about police clearance certificate and ask for your kind help. I lived in Germany for 2 years and Singapore for 3 years before came to Canada. It's very difficult for me to apply for the police certificate since I am not there. Also, for police certificate, both countries require a request from Canadian immigration office.

I wan to ask

(1) where can I get this request?
(2) now I have the police certificate from home country, should I submit the application now, or wait for the certificates from Germany and Singapore (they are extremely slow).

Hello,

Please check the CIC website for CEC class instruction. You will be able to make out

Also in CIC website, in search box, type PCC. you will get the "How to obtain a police certificate" link.
For each and every country, it has the details and instruction

PCC is not mandatory at the time of submitting the application under cec. You can still send your application, but take necessary steps to obtain other PCC so when cic asks for your appln is notdelayed.

Hi, Asish, thanks! Actually it's quite difficult to get the certificate if you are not there. They only give you the certificate when receiving a request from a Canadian visa office. But the problem is where can I get such a request.

This website provides instructions on how to request police certificates from all the different countries.

Coming from Germany I know that you do not need an official request from CIC to get a German PCC. You have to download
a form, fill it out and fax it to Germany, pay the fees and about 20 days later you have the PCC in the mail.

Thanks toby! It will be convenient if a request is not required. OK, I'll contact them and seek for the certificate.

I'm having a good day, so since the website for the German PCC is only available in German
I thought I'd post the link to the form you need.

Fill it out, have it signed/stamped by your local RCMP and fax it to the number on the bottom of the form.

Hope this helps.

Hi toby, do you know whether I need to collect some fingerprint when I apply for PCC from Germany?

Please see my last post. You only have to fill out the form.

As for Singapore, you need an official request from CIC. Apply without the PCC from Singapore,
but attach a letter with your application telling the officer that you will apply for it as soon as you get the request.

toby, you are so kind and helpful.

In you previous post, what RCMP stands for, and how do you pay for the fee? My personal cheque shouldn't work, right?

RCMP - Royal Canadian Mounted Police, if you're in Canada. You can get the form certified anywhere ( Embassy Consulate
Police station Authority Notary public ).

The fee of 13EUR can be paid by a cheque or can be transferred to the account mentioned on the form. Not sure how to transfer money without having a German account tho, maybe you still have friends there who could pay for you? Or use a cheque., make sure it's for 13EUR tho.
