Police Certificate - Passport Number

Hi All,

I have got my India Police Certificate and it has my passport number. Now I am applying for a Indian passport renewal and will get new passport in 3-4 days.. but it means a mismatch of passport number on Police certificate. Do I need to apply for Police certificate again?

No. Just upload a scan of the old passport that contains the number which they used on the PCC. PCC is issued for you as a person, so as long as the ID/passport number belongs to you, and as long as the PCC is issued within 6 months, or after last visit if you dont live there anymore, then you are good to go.

And before you ask, a scan of only the bio page of the old passport, no need to scan all 40 pages
