One of our adult sons (age 20, gainfully employed in the U.S., zero interest in joining us here) submitted a letter that he is "refusing" to get a medical exam or fingerprints b/c he has no intention to immigrate. It also states that he understands this means we can never sponsor him in the future. We also have a notarized declaration that we knowingly surrender our right to sponsor him in the future.

I know others have done this to get around the medical exam, but I'm now concerned about the police certificate. Are they stricter about requiring the police certificate? Or might this work for both the medical and the fingerprints?

We got our ITA in October and are just about ready to submit everything, but then I got anxious about the fingerprints so thought I'd check here first.
