Hi,
Few month after i submited my application.

I just recied an email from CIC: You are required to send police certificate..... If you have already submitted police certificates as noted above please disregard......send it to Case Processing Centre - Vegreville in 60 days,

So i checked the website, it says since the age of 18, if i live in Canada THEN I DO NOT NEED THE POLICE CERTIFICATE.

I have been in Canada since I become adult and did not live in any other country.

So I think I do not need to provide the police certificate, am I right?

Regards.

In cases such as yours, CIC will often end up requesting the PCC from your home country even though you didn't live there as an adult. If it's fast to get a PCC from your home country, I would go ahead and get it and submit it by the deadline. Otherwise I would submit a note to CIC letting them know you haven't lived anywhere else but Canada as an adult - but then also submit the request for a PCC from your home country in the event they come back and do in fact ask for that.

All day, others have reported the same. It appears to be a sweep to make sure PCC's have been submitted. If you don't need one, then disregard.
