Police Certificate - Karachi, Pakistan

Hi Guys!! Hope you are in good health.

I am now gathering important documents for applying under the TFW program @ CIC ISLAMABAD. One of the requirements needed before submitting the complete application is to have a POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE.

I found a fillable form on the official Sindh police website. http://www.karachipolice.gov.pk/2012/05/16/character-certificate-2/.

Someone please help me and tell me the steps to follow.

May I use this form on white paper or any 20 or 50 PKR judicial Paper

- Should I go at the local police station (Thana) only.

OR

- Should I go at the local police station (Thana) and then the SSP office.

OR

- Should I go direct to the SSP office.

It depends upon how much of an effort you want to go through on your own. For me i just went to the police station twice. Found a guy who did the whole document verification for me while obviously charging money in addition to me giving him filled forms and copies of passports etc. Two days latter i collected the same from him.

Update:
If you want to follow the procedure yourself, i think there are multiple stages. First you submit the same form and get clearance stamped on your own form from the same police station (this might involved NADRA or CPLC at some point may be). Then you take the same stamped clearance to SSP office and get his approval after which they will issue you the certificate.

I don't have enough free time to visit again and again the police stations. I prefer to follow first one route.

Please tell me which document should I bring with me to the police station.

1 - Filled Police Certificate Form ( Printed on plan white Paper)
2 - CNIC original
3 - CNIC Copies (Certification from 17th Grad officer is required or not, Please advise)
4 - Passport Original
5 - Passport Copies (Certification from 17th Grad officer is required or not, Please advise)
6 - CNIC of father (Required or Not, Please advise)

No problem, i am glad i could be of help.

Probably there is no use taking all docs with you the first time. Because the relevant person will give you a form himself (usually they are not very fond of the fact that you got docs from some website and may be each police station maintains a different version of form).

They gave me two forms, whose photo copies (plain, no stamp paper) i had to fill (one in urdu and another in english), CNIC copies (no attestation required), father's nic copy, a recent bill showing your home address as well as a form to be filled by a neighbor who knows you and can verify that you have been living there. The address of the neighbor should match and his NIC number also needs to be put in along with his signatures. All of this along with 2 pics and a copy of passport were submitted. They looked at the original NIC once and that was it. Two days latter i collected the certificates.
