i am under the live in caregiver program and i am confused in obtaining a police certificate..do i have do get it from my country of birth or can i get it here in Canada? and,,how long did it usually take to obtain a police certificate?

Where you from?
Need to get police certificates from the country/countries you live for the last 10 years of your life.
If you have the kit for PR there's a request letter for police certificate and fingerprints. Cheers!

need to go to the Philippine embassy and fill up the form and have your fingerprints done($28.75) bring along a passport size photograph.send it to the Philippines together with your old NBI and authorization for whoever will get it for you. It will take about 7 working days based from my experience...then send it back here.
