Points System

Hi,

Where does the points system for the FSW (out of 100) come into the whole process?

I thought it was just a point system for BC PNP (out of 100) and another overall point system out of 1200. I'm confused about where the FSW points come into it.

Thanks

You must have 67 out of 100 points to qualify for the FSW stream. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=692&top=29

If you are interested in the Federal Skilled Worker stream, you will need to meet, at minimum, the pass mark of 67 points out of 100 on the Federal Skilled Worker grid.

If you are accepted into the Express Entry pool, you are not guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence. An Invitation to Apply for permanent residence will be based on your score and rank in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System

So to confirm I am understanding this correctly, I would need to have enough for points for FSW, then have enough points for BC PNP, then have sufficient points in the express entry pool out of 1200 (which I will if I get PNP)?

It says in the guide that in addition to meeting BC PNP requirements, you must also meet the minimum criteria for one of the following federal economic immigration programs:  Federal Skilled Worker Program  Federal Skilled Trades Program  Canadian Experience Class

So I still have to meet the minimum points for FSW and PNP, and not just PNP?

Thanks
