Hey guys, I have a question about getting the 50 extra points for working at the same job/company for at least one year (LMIA exempt). I know that they will stop giving out these points some time in Spring. End of February I will have worked for the same employer for a year - so at that time the 50 extra points should get added to my profile (applying through CEC).
I’ve read somewhere that IRCC will update your points (e.g. for Canadian work experience) one month prior to having completed a year, so for one year of work experience they will add the points at 11 months. If you then get an ITA with that score and submit your application AFTER completing 12 months, everything should be fine (really hope I’m not sharing wrong information on here, that’s just what I found online).
My question now is: If it’s true that they give out points one month prior and it just matters that you meet the requirement by the time you submit your application, would the same apply for the 50 extra points for working for one year at the same company?
Given that they are changing things soon one month could really make a difference, so I’m hoping anyone has an answer Thanks for reading through!
