Points for permanent employee on work permit.

Hi,

I am working as a permanent full time employee in canada as software engineer on work permit. Will I get any additional points for my full time employment here. if yes how many.

Is it necessary for me to explicitly apply for LMIA or will I get 600 points with permanent employment only.if yes what are the required documents.

The way the EE system is designed, a 'valid' job is one that is considered if you have an LMIA. If you don't have an LMIA you won't get the 600 points.

You need an approved LMIA to get the 600 points. You cannot apply for an LMIA. Only your employer can apply for an LMIA.
