Hi everyone!

So here's a bit about my situation. I am working on a contract/fixed term position in Vancouver,BC since a year and have a three year post grad work permit till 2017. I recently created my express entry profile along with my common law partner online and we have managed to get only about 420 points. Current cut off for express entry is 450 points (No idea if it will go any lower). So I need to increase my points now. I could do an ECA for more points but the college that I studied at in India was not government affiliated so I'm doubtful whether it will be accepted. Do you guys know what other ways I could increase my points.

Since I already have a 3 year permit i don't know if I qualify for an LMIA also. Does anyone know if I would qualify? I know I have time on my work permit and I could wait till next year or so but I just wanted to try to get done with my PR process as soon as possible if I can. Looking forward to your suggestions. :)

There's zero chance you will get ITA this year with a score of 420.

Ways to increase your points include:
- Obtain an LMIA (yes your employer can certainly do this even if you're on a PGWP)
- Increase your IELTS score
- Have your spouse take IELTS or increase their IELTS score
- Have your education assessed
