Hi Guys,

Quick question on the points I got for Education.

I have a Bachelors degree which I evaluated from WES and got a result "equivalent to a Canadian 4 year degree"

In addition, I also have a 1 year PG certificate from Canada.

But I have only been awarded 112 points? I should have been given 119 points, Right?

Any ideas where I went wrong?

Thanks,

Did you choose 'Bachelors' for your Bachelors degree and 'Two or more...' for your PG certificate?

If you only have Bachelors degree, choose 'Bachelors'.

Choose 'Masters' of course. In this case, you don't even necessarily need to include your Bachelors degree.

Hi Asivad Anac,

I have selected "certificate or diploma or degree awarded for both"

Where is the option "2 or more"in standing at the end of the study period OR level of education?

My wife is working on my profile as I have been travelling and have limited access to the internet, so thats the reason I may sound a little lost above!!

Another question:

In my EE profile I have mentioned 4 months work experience I gained on a study permit(I know this experience is not counted but didn't want to hide facts this wasn't a co-op). During this work I had completed the 2 semesters but had 4 months to graduate, so I have mentioned " yes" to "studying full time during this job" is this right?

Thanks,

Shayaan

Thanks,

Hi Shayaan,

I already answered your question as you know.

Level of EDUCATION :
you have selected correct degree awarded.for bachelor's select bachelor in level of education as per ECA report and for your 1 year PG in Canada select 2 or more degree option with one atleast 3 years or more.

also did your work experience during study permit was legal i mean to say did you had off campus work permit at that time to work?

as u know this thing is not going to add any point so i would say better remove it.

I want to mention it as I'm working with the same employer currently and my employment letter, T4 etc go back to 2014.

As far as I know from June 2014 study permit holders can work off campus on their study permit and don't need a work permit (cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-offcampus.asp)

I was part of a study program from Jan-Dec'14, I took two continuous semesters from Jan to Aug'14 and got a job soon and started working on my study permit (check above link) and applied for a PGWP in Dec'14 once I graduated.

Correct?
