Points for 8 month course

I am applying for a 8 month course in Canada which will begin in September.

Thinking ahead I am planning to apply for Express entry either during this course or just after. I already have enough points to qualify but thinking if this will give me some extra points.

Here is what the express entry site says -

You can now earn CRS points for study in Canada above high school.

you can earn 15 points for a one- or two-year diploma or certificate
you can earn 30 points for a degree, diploma or certificate of three years or longer, or for a Master’s, professional or doctoral degree of at least one academic year.

The course is a certificate course lasting 8 months. So no points?
