POF Question

Hi everyone, I just received my ITA, and I have a question regarding POF.

I'm a single applicant, so the minimum requirement is $12,960. I have approximately $13,700 in one account, and my question is would that be enough considering exchange rate fluctuations? I have another deposit account that has around $2,300 in it. Should I show that as well? Both accounts have been maintained for more than six months, so no issues with that. I have four accounts in total, but the other two have no significant amounts in them.

In the express entry profile, I indicated I'm bringing $13,500. How much should I put in the post-ITA form?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Thanks!

If you are worried about the currency fluctuations, then show both the accounts. As far as Post ITA application is concerned, as long as you enter a number above the minimum required, that will do.

@Maverick28 just a follow-up question on POF, are credit card statements required? I don't have debts and loans; most of my credit card purchases are just normal life purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month. But if I attach my latest statements, it would appear that I haven't paid them yet? And even if I pay them now, the statements won't be refreshed until the next month's billing statement.

I'm confused as I've read contrasting opinions about attaching ALL deposit/investments accounts and liabilities, including credit cards.

Not required.

Hi @Maverick28, another question regarding POF. Would it be fine if my statements are more recent than the bank letter? I requested the bank letter on Dec 1st, but I was unable to get the statements the same day due to a system error in the bank. I'm planning to get the statements next week just before I submit my application. The amount is still the same from the day I got the bank letter.

Also, would it count as 6 months if my statements are like 5 months 20 something days? This is due to the bank's statement cycle/cut off dates.

Thank you!

Bank statements were never compulsory. In my case, I included them because my bank refused to include the average 6 months balance (as required by IRCC) in their letter. So it should be fine 5 months 20 days... or you can include a whole extra month of like May if you are worried, that won't hurt. Date differences of the 2, it's fine.

Thanks! My bank letter has the average 6 months balance, so I'm just adding the statements as support.
